Billabong Women’s Adventure Division: Azores

Exploring the Azores with Caley Vanular and Anna Gudauskas

This assignment took me to the Azores with Caley Vanular and Anna Gudauskas to produce imagery for a Billabong Women’s Adventure Division collection.

Caley and Anna were involved in shaping the concept and logistics. I handled all photography, including surf, lifestyle, and environmental images. Working without a larger crew gave us the flexibility to adapt quickly to weather, light, and surf conditions.

Volcanic terrain, black sand beaches, rugged coastline, and natural hot springs created a wide range of visual options in a small area. The texture and contrast of the landscape made it one of my favorite places I have photographed and shaped the final look of the images more than any planned shot list.
