Hi!

From Kona on the Big Island of Hawai’i, Sarah Lee is a water and lifestyle photographer who is incessantly glued to camera viewfinders, swim fins, and the ocean. Her passion for lifestyle and water photography was shaped by a childhood where she was constantly immersed in the ocean. Currently she photographs and collaborates with ocean-centric athletes, models, causes, and brands in Hawaii, California, and other parts of the world.

Surfing in Mexico + Baby Turtle Release

Surfing in Mexico + Baby Turtle Release

This was my first proper “vacation” ever and by vacation, I mean a surf trip at a perfect left-hand point break in mainland Mexico for a week, without bringing tons of camera gear. Looking back, I wish I took more photos because photography is more than just a job to me. As a teenager, I fell in love with photography because it was a way to share positive experiences with my friends, express my personal vision, and to simply get outside. The past few years, surfing has taken over that form of outdoor “play” but lately I’ve been seeing a re-emergence of the drive to bring back photography as a form of play as well with an expansion of personal projects in the near future.

The majority of these photos were taken on a DxO One + Outdoor Shell with a little marine float that I would stick in a hip pack.
