SARAH LEE is photographer drawn to the intersection of ocean energy and human presence.
Born and raised on Hawai’i Island, Sarah grew up in the ocean and was a competitive swimmer before picking up a camera as a teenager. That background continues to shape how she works in moving water, variable light, and real conditions, where timing, awareness, and adaptability matter.
Focusing on authenticity through environment, her work centers on natural light, real environments, and people who belong in them.
Over the past decade, Sarah has worked with brands including Billabong, Toyota, and ESPN on campaigns and content libraries spanning fashion, lifestyle, and sport. In 2018, she became the first female photographer to have a photograph selected for the cover of The Surfer’s Journal.
Sarah is based in Hawaii and shoots worldwide.
